I am very impressed with the article I have just read. I wish the writer of apac2020.the-diplomat.com can continue to provide so much useful information and unforgettable experience to apac2020.the-diplomat.com readers. There is not much to state except the following universal truth: Nice guys always finish last because they know it's not a race. I will be back.

Major flaw of the article is that it does not explain why this tension and the 1962 war are direct effects of Tibetans government active role at the Simla conference in 1913-14, and most importantly, Chinas invasion of Tibet in 1950, which made China and India into uneasy neighbors.

Prior to 1959 there is no border between India and China simply because Tibet was independent country. McMahon Line was border settlement treaty between British India and Tibet. China was not involved in this treaty simply because China has no business in independent Tibet. McMahon line is a proof of Tibet’s independence status prior to Chinese occupation of Tibet. Article didn’t mention anything behind the treaty and parties involved in drafting the line. If you are interested in truth please visit the website. http://peoplefortibet.blogspot.com/2009/10/why-chinese-are-so-upset-about-tawang.html
